Hallo zusammen,
meine Marine in Italien hat ab diesem Jahr geschlossen. Dennoch hat mich der damalige Betreiber angeschrieben dass ich bald Post von Bayliner bekommen würde. Es geht um einen Recall von Bayliner. Ob mein Boot, VR4 2023, betroffen ist konnte er noch nicht sagen. Ich hab daraufhin im Netz etwas gesucht und in USA einen aktuellen Bayliner Recall mit dem Hintergrund "not enough styrofoam in your hull" gefunden. Hat hier jemand bereits Post von Bayliner bekommen? Es würde sich in verschiedenen Modellen zeigen. Hat jemand dazu bereits News dazu? Ich würde gerne hier alle Infos sammeln wollen, das betrifft sicher mehrere. |

To: All Dealer Principals, General Managers, Warranty/Service Managers, and Parts Managers BAYLINER SERVICE BULLETIN BL 25-08 OFFICIAL SAFETY GATE NOTIFICATION #30295 FLOTATION RECALL AFFECTING BAYLINER VR4OE PORTUGAL AND POLAND PLANT BOAT MODELS Issue Alert Bayliner has discovered that some VR4OE boat models built out of our Portugal and Poland plants may not comply with requirements for Level Flotation as stipulated by the Recreational Craft Directive (RCD) 2013/53/EU. All units included in this campaign meet the RCD requirements for Basic Flotation, but some may not meet more stringent Level Flotation requirements. Remedy Install an additional quantity of flotation foam as specified in the field work instructions to meet Level Flotation requirements. In order to install the appropriate amount of flotation foam, storage volume has been impacted, and the transom shower (if applicable) has been relocated. Part Order Requirements Shop tools and/or parts required to be ordered from Bayliner can be found in the attached Field Instructions. You must include the HIN and Service Bulletin number BL 25-08 when placing your part order. NOTE: The below parts are for this service campaign only and are unavailable for stock ordering. Any stock order submissions will be rejected. REQUIRED PARTS/MATERIALS TO BE ORDERED FROM BAYLINER (See attached dealer boat list to determine which kit to order) Qty: 1 Part Number: 2453088 Description: SBR, KIT FLOTATION VR4 OB NO SHOWER BL 25-08 Qty: 1 Part Number: 2453089 Description: SBR, KIT FLOTATION VR4 OB SHOWER BL 25-08 Please do NOT schedule repair work until the kit is received. A lead time will be communicated upon order based on current volume. Any part order placed for a part that is NOT listed on the Field Instructions will not be covered under warranty and the claim will be rejected. Warranty Claim Requirements 1. Complaint Failed Part Number Use 2452567 SB, BL 25-08 VR4OB FOAM SAFETY GATE 30295 when filing your claim. Do NOT order parts for this number – it is for claim filing only. 2. Complaint Attachments Photo Requirements: HIN tag (clear and visible) Photo verifying installation, Step 20 3. Replacement Parts Include Accessory Order # for each replacement part. 4. Labor Allowance Repair: 6.0 hours NOTE: Failure to follow the Warranty Claim Requirements will result in rejection of your warranty claim. Covered Vessels VR4OE boat models built out of the Portugal and Poland plants. A list of boats subject to this service campaign is attached. If Bayliner has not received a warranty registration for a boat, it is assumed the boat is still in inventory. Boats in inventory must NOT be operated, demonstrated, or offered for sale until this service has been completed. Customer Letter Mailing Date To reach consumers, dealers are asked to attempt additional contact by telephone, mail, internet, or other appropriate methods to complete the required services. Bayliner will begin notifying owners of affected boats within two weeks of this notification. A sample notification letter is included for reference. Reminder The Warranty Claim Failed Part Number is NOT a part number to order. Use it only when filing your warranty claim. Refer to the Field Instructions for all shop tools, materials, parts, and labor allowed to complete the work. Dealers must communicate all photo requirements with their technicians to avoid delays and/or rejections of warranty claims. Dealers can identify boats with open service campaigns by running the “Boats with Open Service Bulletin Report” in Compass or by entering the HIN in the Compass search box. Laut der Info eines Bootsmechanikers ist nicht genug Auftriebskörper verbaut um das Boot unsinkbar zu machen.
Also stopft man den dringend benötigten Stauraum mit Schaumblöcken voll , macht den Stempel in die Unterlagen und nimmt den Mist anschließend wieder raus weil man ja irgendwo seine Plödden hinpacken muss
