Hi.
Sorry that my German language is not so good. I have a number of old two stroke outboard motors from VolvoPenta/MCB/ and König which all are using bing carburators 8/25/xxx and 8/26/xxx. I need to understand how the 'korrekturluftduse' and the 'mischrohr' influence the mixture for various 'drosselklappen settung'. I have problems with my König 65 PS with the 8/25/112 carburetor that gives a too rich mixtures on about 1/4 gas. The idling and the fulltrottle mixture is OK. I cannot find any information how these parts influence the mixture for these specific types of carburetor. The other jets are straight forward to understand... BR JEL Lundberg Sweden,,,, |

Hi,
i dont know youre carburator type but "drosselklappen setting" is the attitude at neutral gas, so its the rpm at neutral. If you can adjuce something at the "Mischrohr", it chance the mix at high speed. In your case, to adjuce the mix at 1/4 gas you have to adjuce the "Leerlaufgemischschraube". If you dont have one, you have to cance the "Leerlaufdüse". Its like the main jet for neutral gas. When you can post a picture of your carburator i can show you the screw. Lg Kim |

Hi. Thank you for your interest,
I'm comfortable in being able to set the the idling of the engine. Its specifically the function of the 'korrekturluftduse' and the 'mischrohr'. The 'michrohr' you can see as the brass tube in the inlet. The 'korrekturluftduse' sits on top right side of the carb. As the main jet is mounted in the bottom of the 'michrohr' so the rohr should influence below full throttle. They are available from #3 to #6. But how will a change affect the running? And what does the 'korrekturluftduse' do? Supply air to the 'mischrohr', via the 'korrekturluftduse' and some other way??? They are sometimes plugged,#0 but can also be e.g. #40. |

Hello Janseman,
there are several informations on the Homepage of Bing. Maybe you have seen them already, if not, here some links. Unfortunately they are all written in German. I personally have no experience in the influence of the diameter of the "Korrekturluftdüse" (No 6), but maybe the descriptions of Bing will help you. https://www.bingpower.de/download/da...sertechnik.pdf (See sketch No.6 in this paper) https://www.bingpower.de/download/da...ng_vergaser.pd https://www.bingpower.de/download/da...ter/type24.pdf I hope, this will help you. best regards Klaus |

Danke Schrottler fur die antwort.
The paper by bing expert dipl.ing. W. Hoffman was new for me and a good explanation for various bing carburetor types. But the exact impact of different sizes of the 'korrekturluftduse' and the 'mischrohr' is not clear to me. I have to do an educated guess and try it out on the boat. Hopefully I don't destroy the engine if I do very small changes at the time with what the limited set of different sizes I have. BR Janseman |
