Pehzeh Frageh
Hallo ihr EDV-Kräcks.
 Wie kann ich bei meinem Schleppi einem USB Anschluss einen COM Port zuweisen  Im Gerätemanager ist nur ein LPT zu sehen, kein COM weit und breit. Und wenn ich nachträglich einen Kommunikationsanschluss installiere erscheint das mit Warnzeichen.

Nein.
 Am PC ging das ratzfatz auf Anhieb, nur aufm Schleppi nicht. Die ADX Datei ist übrigens auf der CD.

Kann es sein, dass COM4 bereits belegt ist, z.B. für Bluetooth ?

So gehts auch
lese ihn so aus wie ich beschrieben habe.Du brauchst wirklich nur 2 Kabel am Stecker anschließen.

Also erstmal alle COMs löschen bitte, den USB ausstecken, Rechner neu starten.
Dann USB einstecken, sollte "bitte Treiber installieren Meldung kommen". Korrekt?

falls du noch nicht weiter gekommen bist, die Com Ports weiter oben kannst du löschen wenn die in deinem Rechner nicht vorhanden sind, oft sind auf dem MB Kontaktpinne für einen Com Port der ist aber nicht immer nach draußen geführt dein USB Adapter sollte aber auch funktionieren, wenn die Software richtig installiert ist wenn alles nicht geht kann ich gerne ein altes MB das noch Com Port Anschlüße hat zu spielen, gerade für solche Anwendungen ist das oft die bessere Lösung

Ganz einfach: diese USB Adapter benutzen viele den gleichen Chipsatz.
Auf deinem Läppi ist wohl schon ein anderer Treiber diesem USB Kabel zugewiesen. Was du versuchen kannst: Rechte Maustaste auf den gefundenen "Serial Converter" -> Treiber neu installieren -> Nicht im Internet suchen -> Treiber manuell auswählen -> Diskette -> und direkt den auf der CD auswählen. Als ich das Ding das erste mal angeschlossen habe hat WinXP nach Treibern gefragt,
habe die XP-Treiber der mitgelieferten CD installiert. Nur das mit der COM Zuweisung haut nicht hin Auf dem PC ist im Geräte Manager unter "Anschlüsse" ein LPT und ein COM (Kommunikationsanschlus COM1) zu finden, auf dem Läppi ist lediglich ein LPT aufgeführt.

Läptops haben bestimmt schon 8 Jahre keinen Com Anschluß mehr, am PC findet man die noch manchmal

wenn gar nichts geht, kann ich dir einen alten PC zusammen nageln so was mit Athlon 900, die laufen mit XP oder 98ME und haben noch Com Port
